These Smitten Kitchen brownies are terrific for many reasons. For one thing, they are delicious, a perfect blend of cakey and fudgy with rich chocolatey flavor. For another thing, they are fast to make. But perhaps most importantly, they call for unsweetened chocolate, so you can buy some and then not run the risk of eating it before you bake with it. Not that that ever happens when I buy chocolate chips or anything. If you haven't made them get, do it. You might even have everything you need already in your kitchen.
